During tough economic times, many companies are looking to reduce expenses and stretch the dollar. Becoming a member of the VAA will help companies do just that. VAA’s representation at various meetings and conferences within and outside of Virginia. Information relevant to its members is shared through electronic media, newsletters and personal contacts. Many times prior to meetings with government entities (i.e. – VDOT, DEQ, etc.), the VAA will seek input from members on issues that are of concern to them.
Opportunities to interact with member companies and industry professionals at VAA’s annual Fall Asphalt Conference, which draws over 200 state and local officials and industry representatives. The fall meeting is jointly hosted with the Virginia Department of Transportation and provides attendees with the latest information on the state’s transportation funding outlook for maintenance and construction as well as the latest asphalt research and specifications that will be applicable to the upcoming year’s paving season.
An invitation to the Association’s Annual Meeting where senior company member representatives gather for senior VDOT leadership presentations, planning meetings and strategy sessions in a relaxed atmosphere. Networking opportunities for member companies make this meeting a must for companies that depend on the asphalt industry for much of their business.
