The coronavirus outbreak has generated questions and concerns related to the safety of attending the Virginia Pavement Research & Innovation Symposium.  VAA shares those concerns and wants to assure you that your health and welfare is our primary focus.  On March 12, the Governor of Virginia enacted a State of Emergency for the Commonwealth. The declaration outlined steps the state government was taking to help contain the Virus. One of those steps was to ban all work-related travel for state employees for the next 30 days. The Governor has also canceled all state-sponsored conferences.

With this in mind, along with the CDC’s recommendation for social distancing, VAA has made the decision to cancel the 2020 Virginia Pavement Research and Innovation Symposium (VPRIS) scheduled for March 25 – 26 in Fredericksburg. We will be refunding those companies registered for VPRIS – exhibitor and attendee. Please be patient as we work to refund your monies.  Also, if you currently have a hotel room, please take a few moments to call and cancel your hotel.

Although we hate to cancel VPRIS, it is with the safety and health of all involved that we do so.
